In October 2003 the Prime Minister announced that the ANCD had been asked to increase its links throughout the Asia-Pacific region, specifically to promote drug use prevention, reduction and treatment.
“… Clearly, illicit drug use is a problem that is not confined to our borders. Countries throughout the Asia Pacific region are actively supporting the international effort to reduce supply and demand for illicit drugs.
In order to provide a foundation for its work, the Asia-Pacific Drug Issues Committee identified an urgent need to map the work undertaken in the Asia-Pacific region. The resulting reports, and other publications, are available for you to download.
